To: LINDY AND THE STAFF OF LA BRIE CATTERY!
On behalf of Tammy-Tams, I wish to apologize for Tammy’s unfriendly behaviour. I know she is a real snob!
Tammy is a 6-year old, red female Persian.
I got Tammy about 18 months ago from a lady who had to give her up as she was moving into a Home for Elderly in the Cape where no pets were allowed. I had lost my Grey Persian tragically six months before and was ready to settle in with another Persian before Christmas. Tammy move din with all her fancy paraphernalia, but she flatly refused to accept me as her new ‘mommy’. Her behaviour was understandable; I had taken her away from her mommy and her home and she was furious with me!
After almost three weeks of not seeing her, and her stubborn fasting, I felt it was getting too much! I knew she was still alive because during the night I could hear something with four little pays was ‘playing’ on my piano! Just as I was about to get some reinforcements, Tammy decided to appear from her hiding place and move to the bowl with her food, right in front of my eyes, helped herself and then walked away from me; tail in the air, stiff legged and hoity-toity!
Since then, she treated me as a subordinate! It took us many weeks to bond. She would only allow me to brush her when she feels like it and bathing her was something that makes a World War look like Peace!! Then she had to stay at the La Brie Five Star Hotel, while I went overseas. She gave me a cold gaze as I left. On my return to pick her up, I was informed that I had a ‘very unfriendly cat!’ At least she was still alive and by the looks of it – some of the staff as well. At least she did eat and drink . . . I entered her cage in my usual subordinate stature and to my delight Tammy purred with large golden eyes when I picked her up!
Something must have happened to her at La Brie; My snobbish little cat turned out a darling! She didn’t fuss while we drove home. She didn’t disappear in her hiding place. She continued to eat and drink and play and talks to me with sweet soft ‘mew-mews’. She even coaches me to come to bed with her at night!
Thank you so much for taking good care of her. I’ll bring her again next time, and perhaps she will behave in a less regal, more ordinary way.
Love you all!!!! Annatjie.

Sy kondisie was goed en hy was mooi spier wit gewas en so lekker sag (watter sjampoo gebruik julle?). Nogmaals baie dankie, ons sal weer ons honde daar kom inboek. Groete Jan, Magriet en Irma Bosch

Good Morning I first like to thank you for the special care you gave Sammy when she was with you in December! She had a brain tumor and died the day after Chrismas. Thanks to you and your team! Altrina Viljoen
Note from La Brie – A few days after Sammy and AJ came in to us, we noticed that all was not well with Sammy, and after contacting Mrs Viljoen, rushed her off to her regular vet, who then kept her with him for observation. We were very sad to hear that she passed away, as in the few days she was with us, showed us that she was an absolute sweetheart. Mrs Viljoen has since gotten a little puppy called Abby, who has visited us already and is proving to be just as sweet as her predecessor!

Labrie Staff:
Thank you for taking such good care of Zane. We picked him up in great condition and with a happy attitude, and he seems to have matured even more while we were gone. So much thanks and we'll definitely be using your services in the future.
